Do I need a car to get around Miami?
It's up to you. Car rentals are affordable, but parking in certain areas of Miami can often be difficult to find. Because of this, public transportation is also viable alternative for getting around.
Ocean Way is located one block from Collins Avenue, where you can access many of the Miami Beach routes, such as the J, S, T, H, K, L and G buses. These will take you to destinations like Miami's major shopping centers, South Beach, Aventura, and Downtown Miami. Fare is $1.50. For more information, including complete bus and metro routes, visit the Miami-Dade Transit webpage. Our concierge can also help arrange reservations for different city tours during your stay.
Where can I park?
There is metered parking on the street outside the hotel, which are enforced from 8 am to 6 pm and cost $1 per hour. We also participate in the city's hang-tag program, giving you the option of buying a 24-hour parking pass for $6.42. Alternatively, you can park at a municipal parking lot near Ocean Way. Please contact the concierge for more information.
How far are you from Miami International Airport and the Port of Miami?
The airport is 14 miles away, about a 20-minute drive. The Port of Miami is about 11 miles away, also a 20-minute drive. We can help you arrange a shuttle or cab service to these locations. For directions, please visit the Contact Us page.
